TARPON SPRINGS, Fla - Hundreds of people are without water after a water main blew around 1:30 p.m. Sunday.
Police say the break happened at North Florida Avenue and Forde Avenue.
Barbara Templeton, spokeswoman for Tarpon Springs police said that utility crews had expected to make the repairs within four hours.
Now, she says, crews do not have a clear deadline of when residents can expect to have water turned back on.
Those affected by the break are located north and west of the break site.
The break caused a large crater to form in the roadway. Crews are hoping to get road repaired before morning traffic due to the hole being in the line of traffic for Tarpon Springs Middle School.
There is no word on when crews expect the repairs to be completed, or when residents affected can expect to have their water turned back on.
