Dead body found floating in Lake Tarpon in Palm Harbor

PALM HARBOR ,Fla. - Deputies have located the body of an unidentified male found floating in Lake Tarpon this afternoon. Investigators have ruled out foul play and are currently looking into the cause of death.

Deputies responded to 4597 Grand Lakeside Drive East in Palm Harbor at 10:20 this morning after receiving a call about a boat adrift in Lake Tarpon. The citizen that discovered the boat found no owner or occupants. The boat was towed to the address above as deputies arrived on the scene.

Marine and Flight Unit deputies conducted a search of the lake area and found a body at 12:10 PM. At, this point no next of kin has been notified. The cause of death is being determined by the Medical Examiner's Office.
