OLDSMAR, Fla. -
Authorities in Pinellas County say deputies watched as a waterspout came ashore in Oldsmar, causing some damage in the 400 block of Shore Drive East.
Jeanne Condon of 420 Shore Drive East came home Monday evening to find debris all over her yard and a downed palm tree. When she went inside, she realized her roof, which was currently getting remodeled, also suffered damage. A chunk of her bedroom ceiling caved in.
"We were really nervous. This whole thing was just covered in debris," said Condon
The Pinellas County Sheriff's Office said their deputies observed knocked down branches, a mailbox, and a tree. They say the waterspout also snapped a guide wire and caused a transformer to blow out.
No injuries were reported.
