Teenager injured in game of Russian Roulette passes away

LARGO - A 17-year-old male was shot at a Largo home, according to Pinellas County Sheriff's Office detectives.

Deputies responded to 11133 111th Way Friday around 7:45 p.m.

After further investigation, deputies say Thorin Montgomery, 17, was involved in a game of Russian Roulette with three other teens.

The teens, aging from 16 years old to 19, were playing the game of chance with a .38 caliber revolver.

Montgomery was reportedly the first of this friends to take a shot at the game.

The gun discharged, critically injuring Montgomery in the head.

He was flown to Bayfront Medical Center where he later passed away from his injuries.

Deputies are still investigating the case.
