LARGO, Fla. - Authorities found an abandoned vehicle used in a Largo hit-and-run Thursday morning, and they’re investigating whether the woman they have taken into custody was the person behind the wheel.
The crash happened just after 1:00 a.m. at the intersection of 66 th St. N and 142 Avenue.
Preliminary information indicates that someone driving a white SUV turned in front of a black car heading south on 66 th St N and t-boned the vehicle.
One of the four people in the black car was seriously injured and flown to Bayfront hospital.
The suspects in the white SUV fled from the crash and tried to hide the vehicle by pulling it into an unoccupied home at a trailer park one mile away.
