LARGO - For the third time in three weeks, a pedestrian was killed while crossing a Largo road, according to a police report.
The victim, 75-year-old Patrick Davis, was crossing Keene Road eastbound at 6:45 p.m. Wednesday when he was hit.
Sherry Gerow, 44, was driving northbound on Keene Road when she collided with Davis at the intersection of Keene Road and Roberta Street.
Largo Fire Rescue tried to revive Davis, but he was taken to Largo Medical Center and pronounced dead a short time later.
“…these are senseless deaths that could have easily been avoided,” a City of Largo representative said.
The City of Largo wants to remind pedestrians how important it is to use cross walks.
There are no criminal charges expected to be filed regarding the death.
