LARGO, Fla. - Largo Police have identified the man who fired shots inside an office building and then turned the gun on himself.

According to a release, Fred Sumner, 52, walked into the lobby of the BayView Pavillion Business Office Complex located at 15550 Lightwave Drive in Largo around 9:28 a.m.

After entering the lobby, Sumner pulled a semi-automatic handgun from his waistband and began shooting.

Police said Sumner fired several shots at the lobby doors and windows, then shot himself in the abdomen.

He  was flown to the hospital, where he is alive and now under arrest.

According to investigators, Sumner's wife works for a business located inside the complex.  He was upset over an alleged affair she was having.

No other people were injured.

Sumner is being charged with criminal mischief and shooting within an occupied building.

Largo Police detectives are continuing their investigation.
