Clearwater Police say Tiffany Drake, 39, was trying to kill herself and a two-year-old passenger when she purposely crashed her car into another at a stop light Monday morning.
While investigating the crash at the intersection of Keene Road and Druid Road, police say Drake made comments about trying to kill herself and the child in the vehicle with her.
Detectives say Drake stepped on the gas and reached a speed of perhaps 50 mph before intentionally ramming the back of a Chevrolet Malibu owned by PSTA that was stopped at the light.
The child was taken to All Children's Hospital as a precaution and will be released to a family member.
The driver of the Chevy, David Dunbar, 61, and his passenger, Daniel McSweeney, 52, received minor to potentially serious injuries.
Drake was not injured.
She was charged with attempted murder and 2 counts of aggravated battery.
