CLEARWATER, Fla. - Clearwater police have identified the suspect involved in a shooting that happened two days ago.
The shooting happened Friday, just before 5 p.m. on Engman Street near Holt Avenue.
According to police, the suspect, Kwuashawn Wyche, and the victim, who has not been identified, were fighting at the Palmetto Park Apartments.
Wyche pulled a gun on the victim and shot him. The victim was taken to a local Tampa Bay area hospital with life-threatening injuries. He is still in the hospital being treated for his injuries.
Police say Wyche fled on foot from the scene after the shooting that night.
He is believed to be armed. He goes by the nickname of “Jersey,” is about 5 feet, 5 inches tall weighing around 150 pounds with brown hair and eyes.
