Man holds up Clearwater bank, suspected in two other bank robberies

CLEARWATER, Fla. - Police are looking for a man who robbed a PNC Bank on Countryside Boulevard on Tuesday afternoon. Authorities believe this same man has held up at least two other banks in the area.

The man confronted customers and employees PNC Bank at 2575 Countryside Boulevard at gunpoint at around 4:15 p.m. He demanded cash from a teller and took off on foot with an undisclosed amount of money through the nearby Inverness Condominiums.

Detectives believe this is the same man who robbed the PNC bank at 2498 Gulf to Bay Boulevard on May 26 and was seen leaving in a red vehicle. He is also believed to be responsible for a robbery at a Largo PNC branch.

PNC bank has increased its reward to $25,000 for information leading to an arrest and conviction.
