Man charged with sexual battery on 13-year-old girl

CLEARWATER, Fla. - Clearwater police have arrested a 35-year-old man and charged him with sexually assaulting a 13-year-old girl.

Police say that on Sunday, the victim went to an undisclosed location to see the nephew of the suspect, identified as Gabriel Moreno-Flores.

The nephew was not at home and Moreno-Flores coerced the victim into his bedroom, where, according to a police statement, "he sexually battered her against her will."

The girl later told her mother what had happened and the mother contacted authorities.

Moreno-Flores was arrested and charged with Sexual Battery.

He was being held on $50,000 bond, according to jail records. Immigration and Customs Enforcement agents are also investigating for possible violations, according to records.
