Dolphin Tale 2 is coming to Clearwater.
The Governor announce at a news conference on talking about how big of an economic impact the first movie, about Winter the bottle nosed dolphin with a prosthetic tale, had here in our area.
The Governor said it generated about 3,000 jobs statewide.
"People get back to work because of this. You look at all the people that have jobs here, look at our hotels locally, the restaurants locally, look at all the jobs that have been created because a great story was told and it's part of the story of Florida," said Florida Governor Rick Scott.
Stars Morgan Freeman, Harry Connick Jr, Ashley Judd, and Kris Kristofferson will return along with Charles Martin Smith, who wrote and directed the first based-on-a-true-story pic.
Real life rescued dolphin Hope will play herself in the film.
Filming will start this October with a release date in September 2014.
