Firecrew investigates cause of overnight Flipperz Beach Shop fire

CLEARWATER, Fla. - Authorities are investigating a fire at a Clearwater business that happened overnight.
Fire crews responded to Flipperz Beach Shop, located at 437 S. Gulfview Boulevard after an officer patrolling the area noticed the blaze.
Firefighters were able to put out the fire before it spread to other structures. However, the fire destroyed an attached storage area at the back and side of the business.
Pelican Point, a nearby hotel, was partially evacuated as a precaution.
Firefighters are searching for the cause of the fire.
