Video released of school bus driver kicking a special needs student as she tried to get off bus

HILLSBOROUGH COUNTY, Fla. - The State Attorney's office has released video from Hillsborough County School's that shows a bus driver kick a special needs child as she was getting off the bus in October, 2012.

The child fell down the stairs and ended up breaking an ankle.

Stephanie Wilkerson was arrested in late October and charged with child abuse after incident.

According to the Hillsborough County Sheriff's Office, the student slapped Wilkerson while refusing to step off the bus, so Wilkerson used her foot to push her off. The student fell and broke her ankle.

In November, the Hillsborough County School Board suspended Wilkerson without pay.
