HILLSBOROUGH COUNTY, Fla. - Southbound Interstate 75 was shut down at the I-275 apex shortly before 9 a.m. Thursday after two vehicles collided. One driver died at the scene, according the the Florida Highway Patrol.
The crash occurred just south of the I-75/I-275 split just before 9 a.m.
The two vehicle overturned after the collision.
Traffic was diverted onto State Road 56 for about an hour.
Northbound traffic was not affected.
No names have been released.
The crash remains under investigation.
