TAMPA - The Hillsborough County Sheriff's Office has charged a Tampa man with murder for the apparent drug overdose of a man earlier this year.

Ned Castel, 22, is charged with third-degree murder and delivery of a controlled substance.

The body of Stephan Gruendel, 21, was found at 4703 Kemble Court on Feb. 6. Detectives found evidence at the scene that Gruendel died of an overdose. They also learned Gruendel bought the painkiller Oxycontin the night before his death from Castel, a known drug dealer, authorities said.

Detectives obtained a warrant for Castel's arrest on Wednesday. Castel was being monitored by a GPS device stemming from previous drug charges. He was found in the area of 29th Street and Osborne Avenue in Hillsborough County and taken into custody.
