LUTZ, Fla. - A Lutz man has died after he was struck by a Hartline bus Thursday morning.
The bus was pulling away from a stop around 6:40 a.m. after picking up passengers on Sinclair Hills just west of Livingston Avenue.
The bus driver stopped for oncoming traffic at 24th Street and was going to make a left turn to travel south.
A Honda CBR motorcycle driven by Andrew P. Kryvanis crossed left of the double yellow safety zone in an attempt to go around stopped traffic, according to a sheriff's statement.
He was struck by the bus as it was making its turn.
He was taken to Tampa General Hospital where he died.
