Human skeletal remains found in burned-out car in east Hillsborough County

HILLSBOROUGH COUNTY, Fla. - Responding to a call about a burned-out car in east Hillsborough County, deputies found human skeletal remains inside the vehicle Sunday evening.

They made the discovery after arriving at the location near Taylor Road and Pruett Road.

As of Monday morning, investigators were still working to identify the car's owner. No determination had been made on whether the remains were that of a male or female because of the extensive damage from the fire.
