CARROLLWOOD, Fla. - A family of little ducklings were saved Sunday afternoon after falling into a storm drain near 4146 Pinelake Lane, Hillsborough Fire Rescue officials say.
A woman walking her dog in the area heard chirping coming from the storm drain. When she looked closer she saw the little ducks at the bottom of the drain.
The eight baby ducks had somehow fallen through the grate over the drain and had fallen 15 feet to the bottom.
The dog walker called 911 for assistance.
Hillsborough Fire Rescue crews responded, using a ladder to climb down and grab the ducklings.
All eight baby ducks were pulled from the drain and reunited with their mother.
They were reported to be in good condition.
