TAMPA - Hillsborough County Board of Commissioners will consider a proposal Wednesday morning during their meeting that could bring over a thousand of jobs to the Tampa Bay area.
Online retailer, Amazon.com, is proposing to build a wholesale trade Fulfillment Center that could bring more than a 1,000 jobs to the bay area. 375 of those proposed jobs would include higher wage jobs that would have an average salary of $47,581.
The center would be a 1 million square feet, state of the art facility.
The board will also discuss a possible tax exemption for the retail giant that would apply for 7 years. The final discussion on the Ad Valorem ta exemption will be July 17 th.
The Fullfillment Center is said to generate up to $200 million in capital investments.
