YBOR CITY, Fla. - Police need your help finding the person who killed a Tampa man.  His death marks the third time in just over a year that someone has been shot at an Ybor City nightclub.

Officers say an argument broke out inside Club Ice around 2:30 Friday morning and it quickly turned violent in the parking lot behind the business.

Police tell us 24 year-old Ricky Ligons was shot in the chest. He later died at Tampa General Hospital.

Amanda Orescovich works at Kicks on 7th Novelty Shop, in Ybor City.  She says crime is giving the area a bad rap.  Orescovich said, "This is a place where you can come with your family and everything else and it's really, with all the shootings and all the violence going on, it's defaming Ybor's character a little bit."

Last October, one person died at a shooting at Club Empire, in Ybor.  Then, in November, five people were shot at Club Manilla, another Ybor City night club.

Jose Vazquez, a former nightclub security guard, says bouncers need to pay close attention.  Vazquez said, "Look at the safety issues when the people are walking out of the club.  If you think it's a future problem inside the club, let another police officer know."

Managers of Club Ice wrote a statement on Facebook reading in part, "Rick was and always will be a part of our family. He loved life and will be dearly missed."

Police have no suspects at this time. If you have any information about the shooting, you're asked to call Tampa Police at (813) 231-6130.
