HILLSBOROUGH COUNTY, Fla. - Hillsborough County officials are encouraging drivers to find alternate routes for the multiple roads that are currently flooded and treat roads with inoperable traffic signals as a four way stop.
Most trucks and four-wheel drive vehicles also are susceptible to being swept away by high water, according to a sheriff’s office release.
High waters on the roads will also quickly stall vehicles.
If you are approaching a flooded roadway, you are advised to turn around.
