TAMPA - Deputies say a couple used an electrical cord to beat a 6- and an 11-year-old.

The Sheriff's Office conducted an investigation into Larry Lincoln and Nina Gaston after someone reported the incident in February.

According to the Sheriff's Office, between November 1 and February 12, Lincoln struck both children multiple times with an electrical cord.

Deputies say that during some of the incidents the suspect tied the victim's hands to the railing of a bunk bed.The younger child suffered scars on his back, sides of his torso, legs and arms.

Police say Gaston witnessed the offenses and did not stop Lincoln from committing the crimes.

Both Lincoln and Gaston turned themselves in at the Orient Road Jail on March 11 and are being charged with aggravated child abuse.
