TAMPA - Hillsborough County Fire Rescue responded to a two alarm fire at an apartment complex Saturday night.
The fire happened at Harbor Walk Apartments on Sandstone Lake Drive around 6 p.m.
According to Ronnie Rivera, Hillsborough Fire Rescue spokesman, a total for 30 people, 18 adults and 12 children, were displaced due to the fire.
Red Cross is responding to help those that have been displaced.
The fire totaled four apartments on the top floor of the building.
In total, half of the apartment buildings units, 16, were deemed uninhabitable due to smoke and water damage.
During the initial search of the involved apartments, firefighters found two dogs trapped in one apartment . The firefighters were able to rescue the pups and get them to a near by police officer who have the dogs oxygen.
They are expected to fully recover.
The cause of the fire is still unknown at this time.
