TEMPLE TERRACE, Fla. - The missing Tampa lawyer whose car was left in the parking lot of Wilderness Park Wednesday was found alive by law enforcement Thursday afternoon.

At 4:20 p.m., deputies found 54-year-old Thomas Mann, disoriented and dehydrated in the woods. A missing alert was issued for the victim on Thursday morning.

Mann told police that the day before, at 4:30 p.m., he parked his car at the park on Morris Bridge Road and began walking south into the woods.

He reportedly became disoriented and couldn’t find his way back. According to the report, he continued walking through the woods until after dark, and he eventually fell asleep.

In the morning, he tried to find his way again, but he became dehydrated, disoriented, and could no longer walk.

Deputies with the Special Incident Response Team were on ATV's when they found Mann several miles into the woods.

Mann is being treated for extreme exhaustion and dehydration.

Once treated, he will be reunited with his family.
