SEFFNER, Fla. - A 30-year-old fast food general manager has been arrested in connection to a sexual battery investigation.

According to the Hillsborough County Sheriff's Office, Vongkoth Lay Vorasan of Lithia, was taken into custody Friday night at work - a Checkers restaurant located at 603 Martin Luther King Boulevard in Seffner.

Investigators say a female employee claims Vorasan followed her into the restroom on March 1 and sexually assaulted her, until someone interrupted by knocking on the door.

The following day, the same alleged victim told detectives Vorasan sexually assaulted her a second time in the restaurant.

On this occasion, the victim reportedly used her cell phone to record the alleged attack and could be heard telling the suspect "No."

After Vorasan's arrest, detectives say he admitted to sexually assaulting the victim.

He has been booked into the Hillsborough County Jail with $100,000 bond on two charges of sexual battery.

ABC Action News reached out to Checkers, and received this written statement:

"We take these issues very seriously, and this behavior is not tolerated in our restaurants. We are cooperating fully with the police in their investigation, and based on their conclusions, we will take the appropriate action." -- Kim Francis, Spokesperson, Checkers
