MANGO, Fla. -
At least one arrest was made following a meth lab bust at a Mango hotel room where eight children were found inside.
A Crimestopper tip led police to the meth lab at the Masters Inn located in Seffner.
More than one adult was found in the hotel room where the meth lab was built, but it was 21-year-old Devin Ray Devoe who was arrested Wednesday morning.
The eight children, who ranged from 1-month-old to 8-years-old, were reportedly at the hotel's pool with their two mothers, while Devoe was making the meth.
But they were all inside the room along with Devoe when law enforcement responded to the crime tip.
Deputies found the active meth lab in the bathroom beneath the sink. Devoe also had 1.6 grams of marijuana and 0.3 grams of meth in his pockets.
The rooms next door to the hotel room in question were evacuated, but every one was allowed back in when the area was deemed safe by investigators.
Deputies seized 86 grams of meth from the lab.
The two mothers claimed they had no knowledge of Devoe making meth, and they were not arrested.
Devoe supported their claims, saying he was solely responsible for the entire operation.
Some of the children were returned to their mother.
Devoe was arrested and charged with 8 Counts of Child Abuse, Possession of a Controlled Substance, Possession of Marijuana, Possession of Drug Paraphernalia, Manufacture of a Controlled Substance and Trafficking Illegal Drugs.
