PLANT CITY - A man has now been charged with murder after Plant City Police discovered a mother of three's body in her apartment.
David Coleman, 23, was charged late Monday afternoon in the death of 24-year-old Tiffany Lamar.
Police found Lamar's body at the Woodbridge Apartments 3:30 Monday morning, after police made a forcible entry. She died as a result of upper body trauma.
Inside the apartment, they also found one of Lamar's three children sleeping.
Thankfully, the young child was not harmed.
According to Plant City Police, Coleman and Lamar got into a domestic dispute that ended with Coleman killing Lamar.
Police say Coleman then left the apartment with two of Lamar's other children and ended up at his parent's home in Hillsborough County.
Police say someone at the home noticed that he had been injured and after asking him about it, the person determined it would be best to call authorities.
Coleman was arrested at his parent's house.
All day Monday at the Woodbridge Apartments, family of Tiffany Lamar drove in and out, shocked by her death. One woman, who said she was the victim's cousin, talked about Lamar's three children losing their mother.
Tiffany Lamar would have turned 25 years old on Tuesday.
