BRANDON, Fla. - A Brandon man was killed early Wednesday as he was crossing Bloomingdale Avenue, according to the Hillsborough Sheriff's Office.

Timothy John Boucher, 25, was attempting to cross the road about 1000 feet east of John Moore Road when he walked into the path of a 2003 Mack Truck around 1:30 a.m.

He died at the scene.

The truck, driven by 42-year-old Jeffrey Harding of Spring Hill, is registered to Land O' Lakes Recycling. He was not injured.

The investigation remains open.
