BRANDON, Fla. - Hillsborough deputies say a man was shot to death during a home invasion at a Brandon apartment early Thursday.   Investigators say a woman and three children hid in a bathroom during the attack.

The victim is identified as Leon Davis, 49, of Plant City.

Deputies were called to the Palisades Apartment complex off East Clay Avenue just east of Parsons Avenue after receiving a 911 call around 3:20 a.m.

The woman and children were still in the bathroom when deputies arrived.

"They were locked in the bathroom...they were obviously very upset," said Colonel Donna Luscynski

The woman made the 911 call from the bathroom.

Investigators believe the home invasion was not a random act. The relationship between the victim and the woman was not immediately clear.

Deputies are now looking for two suspects. The exact motive for the crime also was not clear.

No names have been released.
