SPRING HILL, Fla. - A Hernando County man was taken into custody by deputies and charged with robbing a Bank of America earlier this afternoon.

Deputies took 42-year-old Demetrio Crespo of Spring Hill into custody after conducting a traffic stop on his green Mercury Sable.  Crespo matched the description of the suspect that had just robbed the bank -- a white male wearing a red jacket and a blue hat.  During the robbery, the suspect advised that he had a firearm but did not display a weapon.

Officials say Crespo was taken to the Hernando County Sheriff's Office without incident.

He will be held in the Hernando County Jail on $10,000 bond.
