CITRUS SPRINGS, Fla. - Deputies are investigating a homicide Sunday night after a stepfather was found stabbed to death.
Citrus County Sheriff’s Office responded to 2250 West Summer Place due to a report of a domestic situation.
Upon arrival, deputies found Harold Brown, 69, dead after being stabbed with a knife.
Brown’s stepson, Michael Staton, 56, was later found suffering from stab wounds.
He was flown to Tampa General Hospital where he is being treated for his injuries. Staton's condition is unknown at this time.
Staton’s mother, and Brown’s wife, was in the house when the stabbings took place.
The medical examiner plans to conduct an autopsy on Brown’s body.
