SPRING HILL, Fla. - Two people were arrested early Sunday morning in the shooting death of a Spring Hill man, Pasco County deputies said.
The suspects, Robert Xavier Goodie, 62, and Debra Hostnick, 54, were arrested in Hillsborough County around 3:15 a.m. and transported to the Hillsborough County Jail.
According to Pasco Co. Sheriff's spokesperson Doug Tobin, Kevin R. Wright, 27, of Spring Hill, was shot at his home on Glenrock Rd. just before 3 p.m. Saturday in a dispute over money.
Deputies said Goodie shot Wright several times then beat up Wright's girlfriend before fleeing with Hostnick. Deputies eventually caught up to Goodie and Hostnick and arrested them on Pasco County warrants.
Tobin said Wright was transported to Bayonet Point Hospital in critical condition, but later died.
The PCSO Major Crimes Unit is now handling the case as a homicide.
