It happened July 13 shortly before midnight while patrons were watching movies.
Hernando County deputies say theaters one and four were significantly damaged.
According to deputies, after the suspects pulled the fire alarms, they then removed fire extinguishers from their cases and activated them inside the crowded theaters. The sprinklers went off in the hallways.
Deputies believe the suspects escaped during the chaos of evacuation. No one was injured.
Firefighters did search the premises and found that there was no fire.
