DUNNELLON, Fla. - Storms rumbled through West Central Florida Tuesday night bringing heavy rain and lightning. It's believed one lightning bolt hit the First Assembly of God Church at 2872 Dunnellon Road in Citrus County.

The apparent lightning strike hit the church roof and caused it to catch fire, officials said.

Fire crews were called at 11:50 p.m. to put out the fire. No one was in the building at the time and there were no injuries reported.

The Florida State Fire Marshal will investigate.
