SWEETWATER, Mont. -
Wanted in the disappearance of his two young daughters, Edward Peters of Inverness was taken into custody in Sweetwater, Montana on Thursday morning.
The two girls, Madison, 11, and McKala, 6, were also recovered, and reportedly doing well.
Peters, 45, and the girls were last seen Sunday, September 8 in Inverness. Deputies said Edwards took custody of the girls against the wishes of their court-appointed guardian.
Peters was on pre-trial release and removed a GPS ankle monitor issued to him in August. The monitor was found off the NB lanes of I-75 in Hernando County.
