INVERNESS, Fla. - An estranged Inverness couple were found dead in an Inverness home in an apparent murder-suicide.
Deborah Davenport, 48, was headed to work 6:30 a.m. Wednesday when 47-year-old Joseph Davenport showed up.
The two got into an argument before Joseph forced Deborah into her own vehicle, then drove them to the former family home, located at 222 W. Inverness Boulevard.
Deputies responding to the incident forced entry into the home and found the couple dead in a bedroom.
Authorities said it appears that Joseph shot and killed Deborah before turning the gun on himself.
The bodies will be taken to the medical examiner's office.
Next of kin have been notified.
