SPRING HILL, Fla. - A Spring Hill man who thought he was dialing 6-1-1 actually dialed 9-1-1. The mistake landed him in jail.
Hernando County deputies went to a home on Tarrytown Drive after Anthony Calderelli dialed 9-1-1 multiple times, according to a sheriff's statement.
He told deputies "his phone was messed up, and he was trying to call 6-1-1 on his cell phone to get help from tech support."
He allowed deputies inside so they could determine there was no emergency and that no one was sick.
Once inside, they discovered a marijuana grow operation.
Calderilli was arrested and charged with cultivation.
A second grow house, not related to the first, was shut down by deputies on Cimarron Way in Ridge Manor.
The suspect, Scott Haynes, was arrested on multiple charges.
