CITRUS COUNTY, Fla - A female juvenile from Citrus County reported to deputies that she became too intoxicated to walk at a house party and was subsequently raped by a 26-year-old man after he carried her home.
Michael Blom, of 34 S. Jeffrey Street, Beverly Hills, was arrested Wednesday. He is now facing charges of violation of probation or community control (felony), sex battery of someone 12 years or older without their consent while the alleged victim was physically helpless and sex battery of a person 12 years or older using force/deadly weapon and burglary with battery.
According to an arrest report, the house party took place on November 17, 2012.
The arrest report states, "the girl attended a house part at a residence located within Citrus County, at which time she did consume alcoholic beverages and became too intoxicated to walk."
The girl reported to deputies that Blom and a witness physically assisted her back to her residence due to her level of intoxication. She said once at her residence, she showed Blom and a witness where the spare key to her home was and they helped her to her bedroom where she took off her shoes but not her pants.
She said that's when she passed out. Both Blom and the witness then left the home, the arrest report states.
According to deputies, the girl awoke later to find Blom sexually assaulting her and told him to stop. The girl believed Blom then left her bedroom, the arrest report states.
The witness, who deputies are not identifying, stated that they returned to the house party with Blom. But, when back at the party Blom said he lost his cell phone and needed to return to the girl's residence to find it. Shortly after Blom left, the witness told deputies they rode their bike to the girl's home and watched Blom go back inside. The witness said they banged on a window to alert the girl and her mother that someone was in the house but no one awoke.
Minutes later, Blom reportedly came back outside.
Deputies said when the girl awoke November 18, she was naked from the waist down and that her mother's purse had gone missing.
Deputies questioned Blom and he denied engaging in any sexual activity with the girl. However, deputies said Blom admitted to going back to the home to find his cellphone and using the spare key to gain entry.
Blom is currently being held on $35,000 bond.
