CITRUS COUNTY - Investigators with the Citrus County Sheriff's Office are reviewing a 2009 arrest after video of the incident was brought the their attention on January 15.
In the video, which was put on YouTube in January, Deputy Andy Cox pulled over a gray van for expired tags. The driver, Joel Smith, got out and Cox asked for his license and registration.
When the man reached in to get his registration, the deputy noticed the gun then ordered Smith to lay down on the ground, and Cox handcuffed him.
Smith was eventually arrested for exposing a concealed weapon.
Cox, with Citrus County since 2006, has been moved to administrative duties while the investigation continues.
