BROOKSVILLE, Fla. - Troy Fielder was home alone Sunday night because his wife was in the hospital.
His neighbor, Michael Fitzgerald, tells ABC Action News that the 84-year-old man has lived at 4370 Broad Street for 50 years.
When water started to make its way into the home, Fielder was unable to get out.
Two boys, Josh Sanchez and Luis Santana, happened to see flooded vehicles and noticed movement inside a house.
It turned out to be Fielder.
Sanchez and Santana waded into the water and rescued the older man.
Fielder reportedly suffered some minor cuts on one of his feet, but was otherwise okay.
He said he's never seen flooding like this before.
