18-year-old girl missing since New Year's Day found dead

HERNANDO COUNTY - The body of an 18 year old woman from Hernando County was found outside of the county Friday, officials say.
Deanna Stires was last seen on New Year's Day and was later reported missing ,according to Denise Moloney with Hernando County Sheriff's Office.
Levy County Sheriff deputies say a hunter found the teen's remains in the woods east of Otter Creek.
An autopsy was done on the body to help identify that the remains were that of Stires and linked her to a missing persons report that had been filed at the start of the year.
Both sheriff offices are working together to determine the cause of death for Stires.
