TAMPA - Bunnies are adorable especially around Easter, but they can be hard work! The SPCA stopped in to our studio Easter Sunday to introduce us to Miles and give us some tips about taking care of bunnies.
Your rabbit can easily be litter box trained! Make sure to use only straw pellet, paper based or compressed sawdust pellet litters. Some of these include Cat Country, Critter Country or Oxbow Eco-Straw, Feline Pine or Carefresh. Do not use clay or clumping litters.
Bunnies love their veggies! Here is a list of bunny food:
Note: Kale, mustard greens and spinach contain oxalates which can accumulate in the bunnies' systems over time. Make sure to limit them to 1 or 2 meals a week.
Finally, rabbits love to be active, so feel free to harness and walk your rabbit daily!
