The new issue of Newsweek hitting store shelves Monday is already causing controversy after what it has to say about President Barack Obama.
The magazine's cover features President Obama on the cover and has text proclaiming him to be "The First Gay President." Also on the cover is a picture of the president with a rainbow-colored halo floating over his head.
The cover story discusses the president's recent proclamation that he is supportive of gay marriage . The article reportedly says that Obama's decision was a calculated one, and not a knee-jerk reaction to the controversy.
The cover is just the latest controversial cover from the weekly news magazines. Last week, TIME raised eyebrows with a cover story about breastfeeding that showed a 3-year-old child breastfeeding from his mother.
