Brian Moore, Democratic Candidate for Governor of Florida

Brian Moore, 67, has spent almost 20 years in the HMO/ Managed Care industry and served in the U.S. Peace Corps. His political experience includes being the presidential nominee for the Socialist Party USA. He had a few campaigns for mayor, city council in Washington, D.C.

Moore supports a national health care system, saying that healthcare is a right, not a privilege.

Moore is anti-war and wants immediate withdrawal of the troops from Iraq and Afghanistan.

He opposes the Bailout of Financial Institutions except through the establishment of an Independent Financial Commission composed of citizens, economists and accountants who will work through cooperatives, credit unions and state-run banks. He advocates financial and insurance institutions being socially owned and operated by a national banking authority.

He also opposes the stimulus bill unless all financial and private corporations are nationalized and controlled by workers.
