Large air conditioned tunnel keeps walkway between Times Forum and Tampa Convention Center cool

Florida in August is something with which locals have long been able to cope. But with the biggest event of the year in town during our hottest month, organizers wanted to ensure that visitors were as comfortable as possible.

In order to get there, a large, air conditioned tunnel was erected to help keep people cool and dry while they walk in between the Tampa Bay Times Forum and the Tampa Convention Center.

The tunnel stretches about a quarter mile and is lit with red, white and blue lights along the way.
