TAMPA, Fla. - Tampa Police are investigating a shooting involving two teenage girls.
Police say the victims, ages 15 and 16, were walking home on San Miguel Street from Friday night's Plant High School game when a vehicle stopped next to them. The suspect inside the vehicle rolled down the window, spoke to them and then pointed a gun at them.
The two girls ran and the suspect fired a round, which struck the 16-year-old in the leg. She was transported to the hospital with non-life threatening injuries.
A robocall was sent out to parents of Plant High students.
The suspect is described as a white male, between the ages of 20 and 30. He was possibly wearing a red shirt with a black ski-type mask on his head, but was not covering his face. He was clean shaven with a chubby face. The vehicle was a black four-door with dark-tinted windows.
Anyone with information is asked to call Crime Stoppers at 813-231-6130.
