PORTLAND, Oregon - Firefighters in downtown Portland, Oregon used an air bag to spread the walls and extricate a woman who somehow got wedged between two buildings.

The woman was freed at about 7:30 a.m. Wednesday -- roughly four hours after she got stuck in a space estimated at 8 inches to 10 inches wide.

Firefighters say she fell part of the way down a 20-foot wall and was stuck four feet above ground.

Witness told TV stations she had been seen smoking or walking on the roof of a two-story building.
