Jessica Ridgeway missing: Search in Arvada Colorado find body report says likely that of girl

WESTMINSTER, Colo. - Police investigators plan a Thursday morning news briefing, following the discovery of a body in a Denver suburb which may be that of 10-year-old Jessica Ridgeway, missing since last Friday.

Westminster Police say the body was found in an open space in Arvada Wednesday night. Investigators planned to remain at the scene all night.

Jessica Ridgeway was last seen by her mother when she left for school Friday morning. As was her usual routine, she was to walk three blocks to a nearby park where she would meet friends and walk to their elementary school.

Earlier Wednesday afternoon, police said the parents had been ruled out as suspects in the case.
