As Oklahoma comes to terms with the disastrous tornado that killed at least 51 people and destroyed homes in it's path, relief organizations have launched into action.
If you would like to participate in helping the victims of the Oklahoma tornadoes, here are several ways to get involved:
Visit https://donate.salvationarmyusa.org/uss/eds/aok to make a donation. You can also donate by phone by calling 1-800-SAL-ARMY or text STORM to 80888 to donate $10. To confirm your gift, respond with the word "Yes." Donations in the form of checks designated to Oklahoma Tornado Relief may also be mailed to : The Salvation Army , P.O. Box 12600, Oklahoma City, OK 73157.
American Red Cross
People who wish to make a donation can support American Red Cross Disaster Relief, which helps provide food, shelter and emotional support to those affected by disasters like the recent tornadoes in Oklahoma and Texas as well as disasters big and small throughout the United States by visiting redcross.org, dialing 1-800-REDCROSS or texting REDCROSS to 90999 to make a $10 donation.
Operation USA, based on Los Angeles, Calif is providing emergency aid where needed in Oklahoma. You can donate $10 by texting AID to 50555. You can also donate by calling 1 (800)-678-7255 or write a check to Operation USA, 7421 Becerky Boulevard., PH, Los Angeles, Ca 90036. Corporations are being asked to donate bulk quantities of disaster-related supplies.
